It was such a nice, clear day - we could really see a long way off.
On the way down, the elevator slowed so we could see the state sponsored bricks on the inside. After, we went and got tickets for the Permanent exhibit at the Holocaust Museum. The exhibit was laid out in chronologic order, from Hitler's rise to power to the Liberation. It was hard to see many of the pictures and movies and read about it all. Just horrible - and the rest of the world let it happen.
We walked over to the Tidal Basin and went out on the paddle boats. We had them for an hour but we returned them early. The current killed our legs! We rested awhile and aet some huge cookies. And ice cream - then to the Metro to the hotel to rest up some more.
