but Dave needed more. So we took a drive up to Greer, to Montlure - the girl's church camp.
Such a peaceful place anyway,
but to see it all covered in un-walked in snow made the 3' we trudged our way through so worth it.
We, of course, forgot there was a cattle guard at the entrance!

Didn't get pics, but you should have seen our big brown 'bear' (Kody) trying to stay above the snow. It was so funny to watch him squint while jumping over the snow, trying to get to one or another of us. He had to keep us all in check, you know.
We found a hill to slide down and a fun time was had by all.
Kendra,
Morgan
and even Sue
took a turn. Dave did too, but the camera was off at the time - sorry.
New Year's Eve was spent in our 6 or so year long tradition - fondue'ing with the Durrenberger's. Our girls are so loud and crazy, but they have so much fun. We learned to play another game of cards - Wizard. It was a lot of fun! We might just have to play that again. Rummy gets old after a couple of hands! It think that makes - umm - our 4th different kind of card game we can play! Yea for us! Thanks Bill & H! (More Info and pics are here. http://www.azreadinglady.blogspot.com/)
Here's to all good things in 2009! We love you all.

I'm glad you enjoyed Wizard... until you get your own game you'll just have to call us up! Like you said, it's fun because it changes every hand. You guys are the best :)
