About Me

My photo
We love to take family road trips - Dave, Susan, Morgan, Kendra and Kody when he can go too. We collect state magnets so we know what states we have been to, so we can plan the next vacation. I (Susan, mostly) am going to (try to) use this to share our family adventures. Vacations, events, and such. So needless to say, there won't be daily entries, and maybe not even monthly, but I'll post something, along with pictures, from time to time. So, if you're so inclined, check back once in a while.

Batch #2

Well - #2 batch of apple butter is on the stove. That will complete the first dozen. Half way there!

There are still two more people to buy for. But that celebration will be after Christmas, so now the dilema. Do I fight the crowds NOW or during the After Christmas sales? Both will be crowded...but what we want might be on sale, but it might also be gone! What to do...what to do.

(stir the apple butter...)

Took Angelise to see St. Nick's Lights last night at the Pavillions. It's so fun to see Christmas lights through the little one's eyes. Even though she's 5, it's still a look of amazement. Then we took all three (her and our two) to McCormick Railroad Park. The line was 2 and a half hours long!!!!! When you go - go early. We didn't get there till after 7:30 - and boarded the train at 10. Seriously. Luckilly there are things to keep younger ones entertained. Furry characters, and the playground. The three of them slept like rocks last night! Well - so did we, but they ran around. We were just up way past our bedtime.
